“Unstoppable” was the word for the 17U team this past weekend!

We went 3-0, winning the Tom Dowd Memorial 17U division. We faced two teams that we had previously lost to earlier in the season. We faced the Westchester Cougars in a championship game earlier this season which played into two overtime periods. The cougars came away victoriously. This past weekend we managed to jump out to a quick 10-0 lead and maintained it throughout, successfully beating the cougars by 16. The Saugerties Sonic’s was another team that we had previously played which had beat us. Again, we jumped out to a quick double digit lead and played some tenacious defense! Let’s just say that the 3 pt shot vs. the Sonic’s wasn’t really falling for our Edge team considering we shot 0-20!! With this said, we dominated down low and excelled in transition, winning by 14. An alley opp was attempted which was definitely timed correctly and thrown down with authority.

I am very proud of the effort, determination, and hard work the 17U team has been demonstrating this season. Congratulations 17’s.
