When I think of Dr. Yerry, my mind is flooded with many images.  I see Doc on the sidelines intently watching his son Adam performing in games; I see him smiling at our practices; encouraging other athletes; treating other athletes and giving medical advice to families; I see him giving guidance to parents.  I see [...]

the 14u East Team went 2-2 this weekend including pulling out some impressive wins. We learned a lot about what our team is able to do and the potential we have. If we work hard and play together as a team all the time we can be very good.
In oru first game we played a [...]

The 12 East Team finished the weekend with a 1-2 record, but that does not describe how we played this weekend. This was a very successful weekend and how hard these kids played is something for every Edge Team to look at (especially my 14’s).
In our first game we played the Latham Press who was [...]

“Unstoppable” was the word for the 17U team this past weekend!
We went 3-0, winning the Tom Dowd Memorial 17U division. We faced two teams that we had previously lost to earlier in the season. We faced the Westchester Cougars in a championship game earlier this season which played into two overtime periods. [...]

The 12’s would eventually play 4 games this weekend. Although we finished with 1-3, our record does not reflect how we actually played.  We had some help from the 12u West team with the first game and Ishmael helped us out on Sunday because I was not 100% sure how many kids we were going [...]

For those of you who have been reading all of my posts you can see that the 14u Team is a work in progress. We would like to have a few more wins then we have, but we can’t change that and we continue to fight every game. We had a very interesting weekend to [...]

The 14u East team competed in five games this weekend, going 1-4. Though the record isn’t where we wanted it to be, the kids competed hard and played throughout the weekend.
We had our first game against the Wallkill Panthers. We started out playing them neck and neck and really didn’t back down. They went on [...]

Entering our second tournament we knew that we would have our hands full playing 5 games in two days. We ended the weekend with a 4-1 record overall, with our lone loss coming against the IYB Blaze, who played our 13u team close that morning. Overall our defense is what won us games.
We came out [...]

The 14u East team went 1-2 in their 1st tournament, losing by 5 in a comeback effort, and showing that they can turn up the pressure. With the 1st tournament the one thing that I look for as a coach is what did we do good and where can we get better. For the tournament [...]

The 12u East went 1-2 in their opening tournament with a 3 point loss and an overtime thriller which we proved victorious. With it being the 1st tournament you saw signs of both inexperience of playing together and positive things to grow on.
Our 1st game against the Rockland Royals, we were short handed only having [...]
