Andrew Hoyt graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in 1997. He played Varsity for 3 years at Lourdes under Coach Santoro. He studied at Marist College and graduated with a BS in Computer Science. Andrew began his coaching career while at Marist as an assistant to the Our Lady of Lourdes JV and Varsity boys basketball teams where he learned and studied the game from a coaches perspective under the guidance of Coach Santoro and Coach Hayes. In the fall of 2001, Coach Hoyt was hired as the Freshman Boys Basketball Coach at Our Lady of Lourdes. The folllowing year he was named JV Coach and Varsity Associate Head Coach. Coach Hoyt joined the Edge staff in 1999, and has been with them ever since. Over the years Coach Hoyt has taught fundamentals of the game to ages 12 through 17 and has prepared many athletes for the jump from JV to the Varsity level.

Coach Hoyt has worked for IBM since 2001 as a Software Engineer. He lives in Poughkeepsie with his wife Katharine.
