A Message from Edge Athletics
— January 28, 2026The Edge Athletics community extends its deepest condolences to Jonathan Towne and his family on the loss of his brother, Isaiah.
Jonathan is a member of the Edge community, and we share this message to stand with him as a peer athlete and to offer our support during an incredibly difficult time.
Isaiah is remembered by those who knew him as a steady, thoughtful presence whose life reflected quiet strength, faith, and care for others.
One of my most vivid memories of Isaiah is watching him calmly guide a cement truck as it poured footings for our home on Lake Sacandaga in Edinburg. In a moment when things could have gone really wrong, Isaiah remained focused and composed, showing responsibility and awareness beyond his years as he was only 20 at the time. He also took great pride in his work, carefully selecting the large boulders that now frame the back entrance facing the lake — details that will stand as a lasting reminder of his dedication and eye for doing things the right way.
Just as meaningful were the moments when Isaiah would simply spend time at the lake at the end of the day — working hard, then slowing down to reflect and appreciate God’s creation around him. That balance of effort, gratitude, and reflection spoke volumes about the kind of man he was.
Isaiah lived with faith, purpose, and a deep love for others. His warmth, character, and joyful spirit will continue to live on in the lives he touched.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with Jonathan Towne and his entire family during this incredibly difficult time.
